What is a Community Sports Club (CSC)? |
Community Sports Clubs (CSC) are a new initiative of All4Him in partnership with local churches and several men who are passionate about impacting the lives of young men in our city. CSCs are designed to reach students where they live and provide sports/recreational opportunities in a Christ-centered environment.
Community Sports Clubs (CSC) consist of a weekly gathering of students for sports/recreational activities as well as the opportunity for them to...
- play on a CSC-sponsored basketball team in the Hoops4Him citywide basketball league
- participate in special outings/trips such as hiking, whitewater rafting, etc.
- participate in a 4Real group
- connect with a mentor
Currently there is one CSC which meets every Wednesday from 6:30-8:30pm at Griffith High School Gymnasium on the southside of Winston-Salem. This CSC is a partnership between All4Him, First Alliance Church, and several men who are passionate about impacting the lives of young men in our city.
We are in the process of establishing additional CSCs in other parts of our city as God provides opportunity. Stay tuned! |

How do I register a team? |
To register a team simply complete a Team Registration Form and submit it along with a $250 non-refundable deposit in accordance with the instructions on the form. Forms containing incomplete information will be returned. |
How much does it cost? |
Hoops4Him league fees are determined separately for each division and depend upon the number of scheduled games and the associated costs for referees, scorekeepers and gym rental. Fees are per team, not per player. Typically league fees range between $450-$550. For a team with ten players this equates to about $45-$55 per player which is well below most other basketball leagues in our area. |
What does my league fee include/cover? |
Your Hoops4Him league fee covers the hard costs of running the leaguereferees, scorekeepers, gym rental, trophies, and game balls. It also covers a limited amount of overhead for website hosting/administration and minimal office expenses. The costs of Championship Saturday are not fully covered by league fees. We rely upon donations received on that day to bridge the gap. Also, your fee does not cover jerseys. Each team must provide their own jerseys and they must meet certain minimum requirements. |
What kind of jerseys should my team get? |
All uniforms/jerseys must meet the following minimum requirements: (1) legal #s (can only use combinations of #s 0-5), (2) jerseys must be reversible, (3) #s must be printed on both front and back of jerseys. If you need help locating a vendor or any other aspect of getting your team jerseys, please call or email and we will be glad to assist you. |

What is Championship Saturday? |
At the end of each season, each division's tournament championship game is played on the same day at the same gym one after another. We call this Championship Saturday. On this day we have anywhere from 750-1,000 people flow through the venue.
We provide doughnuts and coffee throughout the morning games, hamburgers and hotdogs throughout the mid-day and afternoon games, halftime contests and prizes, trophy presentations, and more! The costs of Championship Saturday are only partially covered through league fees. We rely upon donations received on this day to completely cover our costs.

How will I know if a game is cancelled/delayed due to inclement weather? |
In the event of a weather forecast that calls for potentially inclement weather on game day, the League Director will pay close attention to weather developments through the various local television stations and also by calling the various Divisions Supervisors regarding conditions near their gym locations.
A decision concerning whether or not to play will be made no later than 7:00am on game day. If the decision is made to cancel/delay play it will be communicated three ways: (1) a Hoops4Him 'tweet' will be sent out to everyone who has signed up to follow Hoops4Him/614 Restoration on Twitter, (2) a Hoops News item will be posted immediately on the Hoops4Him website and (3) WXII News Channel 12 will be contacted and the information should be posted on their list of closings/delays. If you do not receive a 'tweet', see an announcement on the Hoops4Him website or on WXII News Channel 12 by 7:15am, then you should assume that games will be played. |

Is Hoops4Him a competitive basketball league or 'just for fun'? |
Hoops4Him is a competitive league and a fun league. We do not believe that competition and fun are mutually exclusive. We want those participating in Hoops4Him to play hard and to the best of their ability. We want them to enjoy the sport and have fun. We stress giving your best and demonstrating good sportsmanship, not winning. Sometimes you give your best and you win. Sometimes you give your best and you lose. In either case, we conduct ourselves in a way that honors God. |
